Awards

• INSA Award : A national award presented in the year 1984 by the then President of India, Mr. Zail Singh, for overall research contributions. The award included a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, a medal and a citation.
  
• ISCA Award : A national award presented in the year 1986 by the then Prime Minister of India, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, for mathematical research contributions. The award included a cash prize of Rs. 3,000 and a citation.
  
• Ministry of Science and Technology Award : A national award presented in the year 1989 by the the Ministry of Science and Technology for outstanding consultancy covering all engineering disciplines. The award included a First Prize cash award of Rs. 20,000, a medal and a citation.
  
• IIChE Award : A national award presented in the year 1989 by the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, for outstanding chemical engineering research contributions. The award included a cash prize of Rs.2,250 and a citation.
  
• IIChE Award : A national award presented in the year 1983 by the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, for the best research paper published in the journal, Indian Chemical Engineer.  The award included a cash prize of Rs.500 and a citation.
